Our editorial mission
Memento FIRE publishes life-first financial independence writing for people who want more time, more agency, and a better relationship with money. Our work keeps the same core philosophy as the original site: remember that life is finite, use money as a tool, and design a life worth living now instead of postponing everything to a distant retirement date.
How we create articles
Some articles may be drafted or developed with AI-assisted tools, but the site is edited around a human editorial standard: clear arguments, practical usefulness, and responsible framing. AI assistance is used for ideation, outlining, drafting, editing, or image direction; it does not replace editorial judgment.
We aim to make every article useful on its own, avoid pretending certainty where there is none, and distinguish personal philosophy from financial instruction. When outside ideas, books, tools, or research influence an article, we try to identify them clearly in the piece.
Accuracy and corrections
Financial independence writing often touches changing numbers, tax rules, market assumptions, and personal circumstances. We make a good-faith effort to keep published content accurate, but older posts can become stale. If you notice a factual issue, unclear statement, broken link, or outdated reference, please contact us through the Contact page so it can be reviewed.
Independence and monetization
Memento FIRE may display ads or include affiliate links. Monetization does not change the editorial principle: recommendations and references should fit the article’s purpose and should not be presented as personalized financial advice.
Legacy domain note
Memento FIRE is the current public brand and editorial direction. The suicidefire.com domain is a legacy domain retained for continuity, backlinks, and existing readers. The name “Memento FIRE” better reflects the philosophy: remember life is finite, build financial independence, and live more deliberately.
